Waitsburg Little Guy Wrestling, fondly known as the “Mat Birds” will be hosting a youth day camp in the Waitsburg High School Gymnasium on November 14, 2009 from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, with registration beginning at 7:45am.
The Mat Birds Wrestling Camp is a 1-day youth wrestling camp. The camp will offer the youth wrestler from the ages of 5-14 quality mat time, intensive exercise and plenty of great experiences. The camp is open for boys and girls and the philosophy is to introduce the sport of wrestling to area youth, to supplement those youth already involved in wrestling and to have a lot of fun in the process.
Lunch and snacks will be served and a souvenir t-shirt provided. The registration fee is $30 per athlete and registration forms can be picked up and dropped off at the Waitsburg Elementary School office. Those with questions can contact Laura Brown at 386-2751 or Kari Newman at 629-0940.
